Classes, Informationals and Events

Beginners Skill's Saturdays

Beginners Skill's On Saturday Mar. 6th . In Caliente front office room 8 from 10 to noon. With Margaret Clarey. She will do these twice a month on the first and 3rd ( Mar. 20th) Saturdays.
And this month she will have a 3rd. Saturday event, Flash/Thumb Drives March 27th,
10am - noon, Caliente Front Office, Rm 8
This might be the class for you...Flash or Thumb Drive - Still having trouble?
Thumb Drives will be discussed again. Bring your drive along. Bring your computer along too if you like. Maybe we can use your Flash Drive to view your problem. There will be a handout.

Computer Help Sessions

Help Sessions will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays this season. So please be sure to check your calendar to see what day they are on. They will be from 10 to noon every time, all will be in Room 8 of the Caliente Office. In March they will be on Tuesday the 2nd, Wednesday the 10th, Tuesday the 16th which will be the end of the help sessions.

Informationals

Informationals we will only have 1 informational this month and that will also be the end of them for the season. March 18th at the Florence Gardens Annex from 10:30 to 12:30 PM the informational will be SendOutCards

Summer Informationals

The third Friday will continue throughout the summer. The 19th. of March Lee Rhodes will give a presentation on Skype. This was missed by many last month as the reminder didn't get set on the Membership calendar and reminders weren't sent out. Only two members showed, and we got many who said they didn't know about it. These things are also posted on the Caldendar on our Web Page and you should go there and check weekly to make sure that nothing has been added at the last minute.
The rest of the summer we are going to keep the 3rd Friday informationals and they will be open to all in the 5 parks area. For the rest of the summer they will be in two parts, first I will ask if anyone has any computer help issues that we may solve there and then I will go into how to do things in our newest Operating system - Windows 7. The slot is reserved from 1 to 3 PM but if nothing is booked after us and we need extra time we can have it.

Business/Social/Election Meeting
Feb. 11th - Thursday 3 to 5 pm
In Florence Gardens Clubhouse
The Election is for Vice President and Treasurer which will be for a two year term, the other Officers will get elected in the oposite years so that every March we will be having elections. If you would like to run for one of these offices please get in touch with one of the board members and they will let our head of nomintations (Jack Becker) know. Plus we will have nominations from the floor. Remember just Vice President and Treasurer will be elected this year.

We have a few SIG groups going and most will be meeting on Mondays, they are an Open Office series: Impress 10 - 11 am; Writer 11:00 to 11:45; and Calc 11:45 to 12:30 pm in FG annex the carving and crafts room.
These SIGS are every Monday.

 

New Tips and Tricks email group.

A new email group thru Yahoo groups was started last month for FPSCC members to get tips, share info and even help other members with problems. You are not automatically put in this group like you are on the membership list. Margaret Clarey has sent out several emails explaining the list and how it will work and how to join if you want to be included on this list. If you did not get this information and want to join this list send an email to FPSCC Tricks and request to be added. Remember you have to be a member of Four Parks Senior Computer Club.

If you can assist with the hands on teaching, please, step forward.

Where to pay dues & Survey Info

Peggy Lindquist is our Financial Secretary and when you pay your dues this season you will be asked to fill out a survey, this has been gone over this summer and made a little easier. We need you to fill this out as this is how the Board can tell what is needed and if you have suggestions we would like to have you write them down. You're not just filling out something that will be set aside and not looked at, they are gone over several times a times a season and a report issued to the Board so they can judge if what is needed is being addressed. Peggy will try to be at informationals, Coffees and meetings to take dues. If you can't make one of those events contact her at 868-0263 and make arrangements to pay dues and fill out the survey.
